Help Us Make a Difference Six Villages at a Time

The floating library distributes school supplies to villages along the Nam Ou River in Laos. This project was launched after our partner observed that many schools lacked basic supplies and textbooks. For this reason, L’ASAS decided to build a floating library capable of storing and distributing school materials while reaching more than 36 villages on a regular basis, with regular follow-up to ensure that the needs of each school are properly met.
Monthly activities include storytelling sessions, reading workshops, book lending, and other educational programs, allowing for continuous engagement and monitoring of the children’s progress.
The goal of this long-term project for Peace through Yoga Foundation is to give every child the opportunity to receive a proper education and maintain decent hygiene, through sustained support and regular follow-up. We hope to raise $2500 each year to distribute school supplies and hygiene kits and run workshop on puberty education and/or environmental conservation. We appreciate your consideration to support this project and receive pictures and/or notes from some of the students.
Budget for library boat visiting six primary schools for reading, hygiene supplies and workshops. $2070 US. Once we have raised funds, we will implement the visits and work on six more villages.
